As we approach the final stretch of 2023, it’s time to reflect on what has been a truly memorable year in Katch International’s history. It’s been a momentous time for us, a year jam-packed with challenges, success, and remarkable strides as we expanded our client portfolio with some prestigious names, helped debut stunning venues and fabulous events, and further expanded our PR reach in Dubai, the wider GCC region, and beyond. Today, we take a moment to reflect on this astonishing journey, shedding light on some of our most important achievements this year.

From Dubai to the Maldives: New Exciting Clients Onboarded

Leading the way in communication excellence, Katch was proud to add a whole host of exciting clients to our bumper portfolio. Adding to our already strong presence in Dubai, we’ve expanded our scope of work with the renowned Address Hotels & Resorts Group from Emaar, a leader in luxury hospitality. This year, we’ve been lucky enough to work with some of their incredible properties including Address Beach Resort, Address Grand Creek Harbour, Address Fountain Views, Address Downtown, and Address Sky View, which are among Dubai’s top destinations for exquisite stays, dining, and much more.

Stretching beyond Dubai, the voice of Katch has been heard on the vacation paradise of the Maldives with another of our exciting clients, Centara Hotels & Resorts, a pioneer in hospitality spanning many countries in South and South East Asia. This onboarding included both Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa and Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa, two superb sanctuaries offering endless Maldivian-Thai authenticity. By uncovering the hidden wonders of the Maldives, we’ve communicated to travellers in Dubai the sensory experiences that await at both of these magnificent properties.

Taking Part in Dubai’s Thriving Luxury Hospitality With Two Hotel Openings

Keeping pace with Dubai’s prosperous hospitality scene has been a cornerstone of our continuous achievements in this industry, helping one of the biggest names in the city communicate their excellence. In January this year, we were thrilled to be a part of the launch of one of the most exciting hotels the world has ever seen, Atlantis, the Royal. Nestled in the iconic Plam Jumeirah, Atlantis, the Royal is a perfect manifestation of style and excellence, boasting architectural brilliance on the outside, and unrivalled luxury on the inside.

Moving to October, Katch has also played its part in the grand launch of Vida Creek Beach with our personal PR approach, contributing to its stunning success through various campaigns. Developed by Emaar, Vida Creek Beach is a beacon of opulence, set against the calm waters of the magnificent Dubai Creek and overlooking the picturesque views of the city’s glittering skyline. This iconic property is set to amaze guests no matter the season, with countless exquisite venues and majestic, eye-catching architectural style.

Elevating Abu Dhabi’s Ramadan Celebrations and Summer Thrills

Between the lush spring and sunny summer, we’ve had an amazing opportunity to be part of one of Abu Dhabi’s most exciting times of the year. By working with another of our esteemed clients, the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT - Abu Dhabi), Katch launched a tremendous PR campaign to deliver the message about what was happening in this prosperous city. Known for its endless efforts to promote Abu Dhabi as a cultural and tourist destination, DCT - Abu Dhabi is one of the most active government arms working to support the city’s huge ambitions.

In March, we worked with DCT - Abu Dhabi to spread awareness about the importance of the holy month of Ramadan and the awe-inspiring activities that residents and tourists could enjoy. The month was filled with exciting venues partaking in this great initiative from the Emirate, from luxurious hotels to authentic Majlises. With endless activations, new-to-the-region experiences, and reputable retailers coming on board, Abu Dhabi truly came alive during the holy month.

After Ramadan, we again worked with DCT - Abu Dhabi showing the city’s vibrance during the summer with a wide array of incredible activations. Hosted during the Abu Dhabi Summer Shopping Season, the bumper schedule of events was jam-packed with insightful masterclasses and fun workshops from an abundance of local and global brands. Adding to the excitement was a series of offers and discounts of up to 80% off, taking the city’s summer style to new heights. With 27 participating malls across the city, over 3,500 retailers, and generous prizes of more than AED 100,000 given away, the Abu Dhabi Summer Shopping Season this year was a stunning success.

Further adding to our PR successes in Abu Dhabi was the launch of Ether by Cloud Spaces, the one-of-a-kind retail concept launched by the renowned co-working brand Cloud Spaces to Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall, bringing people a modern shopping experience. This unique brand is helping budding entrepreneurs get a foothold in the retail segment and Katch was thrilled to have been a part of this fantastic journey so far.

Promoting the UAE’s Largest Live Entertainment Events

We’ve been rocking the entertainment scene in the UAE for years, but 2023 was our loudest one yet. Representing Live Nation Middle East, one of the world’s biggest names in the field, we launched plenty of PR campaigns to demonstrate the unparalleled excitement the country is bursting with. We’ve been a part of some of the biggest musical phenomena in the UAE, including best-sellers like Backstreet Boys, whose show sold out in 6 hours and became the fastest-selling arena show in UAE history, hard-rock geniuses Guns N’ Roses, incredible lyricists such as Charlie Puth, K-pop sensations BLACKPINK, the entertainer Robbie Williams, iconic rock group Imagine Dragons, and the global superstar Sting.

Working with Live Nation Middle East was also a great opportunity to be part of amazing comedy activations with some of the most versatile comedians on the circuit, including Trevor Noah at Coca-Cola Arena, the UAE’s largest comedy show, Kevin Hart, Jim Gaffigan, Bill Burr, and much more. Abu Dhabi has also had its share of this year’s record-breaking extravaganzas, as the grand launch of Wireless Festival Middle East took place on the picturesque Yas Island, with a star-studded lineup of headliners including Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert along with Wegz, Black Sherif, Ali Gatie, King, Divine, and Young Stunners.

Bringing the excitement and laughter to Dubai was our PR coverage of the Dubai Comedy Festival, featuring a diverse lineup of funny men and women, with Jimmy Carr, Dara Ó Briain, Zakir Khan, and the hilarious Joanne McNally and Vogue Williams, who were behind the award-winning podcast “My Therapist Ghosted Me”, just some of the well-known names to play various venues throughout Dubai.

Topping off this year on a high note is our coverage of the ongoing LIWA VILLAGE, an oasis of activities celebrating Emirati art, culture, music, and adventure. Hosted in the heart of the Abu Dhabi desert with nonstop revelries lasting until the end of the year, this magnificent festival will feature plenty of retail and F&B brands, thrilling activations, Arabic-style live performances, and much more. Looking ahead to 2024, we’re also gearing up for the grand launch of UNTOLD Dubai, the Middle East's first mega festival taking place next February that will boast one of the most impressive artist lineups the city has ever witnessed.

This year has been jam-packed with exciting activities and refreshing venue launches that have showcased Dubai’s unmatched culinary excellence. One of the most notable was the debut of Armani/Caffè at Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue, bringing diners timeless elegance in the signature style of Giorgio Armani. From the largest mall to the tallest building of Burj Khalifa, we’ve also been lucky to manage the PR for relaunching the world-renowned At.mosphere, the ultimate exquisite dining destination with breathtaking views, in a special campaign aptly named “The Place to be At”.

Another of Dubai’s iconic dining venues, The Lounge at Address Downtown, has also added to its exceptional experience with the launch of The Garden, an enchanting indoor extension, adding to the grace of this opulent venue. From the bustling Downtown Dubai to the vibrant Business Bay, we’ve also communicated the highly anticipated relaunch of Republic Adda Bar & Lounge, one of the most thrilling venues in the area located at DoubleTree by Hilton, Business Bay. Existing venues like OAnjo have also been brimming with sensational activations this year, from the lovely Valentine’s Day set menu to the endless exhilarating pool parties.
