The Ned Doha Exterior

Marking its second anniversary this November, The Ned Doha will celebrate with a series of exclusive events and a special MICHELIN-starred dining takeover at Cecconi’s

As The Ned Doha approaches its second anniversary in November 2024, the hotel is preparing to commemorate two years of cultural innovation, culinary brilliance, and community spirit in the heart of the Qatari capital. Ahead of the anniversary, the hotel has announced a very special dining activation at Cecconi’s, with world-renowned chefs from the three MICHELIN-starred Da Vittorio joining for two unmissable evenings in November and December.

Where Heritage Meets Contemporary Luxury

Occupying the former Ministry of Interior building on Doha’s iconic Corniche, The Ned Doha has quickly become a mainstay of the city’s hospitality and cultural scene. Since opening in 2022 as the third Ned Hotel and Members’ Club, and the first in the Middle East, it has drawn acclaim for its distinctive blend of mid-century architecture, 1970s glamour, and modern lifestyle experiences. The building, originally designed by Lebanese architect William Sednaoui, has been thoughtfully reimagined by David Chipperfield Architects Berlin with interiors by Soho House Design, transforming it into a vibrant, design-led destination.

Across its five floors, The Ned Doha boasts 90 rooms, nine dining venues, a club lounge, a pool, a spa, and a sprawling 775-square-metre events space. Featuring terrazzo flooring, marble finishes, silk drapery, and coffered concrete ceilings, the property pays homage to its architectural past while presenting a fresh, contemporary take on luxury living. The result is a space that feels both timeless and current, creating an inviting backdrop for locals and travellers alike.

The hotel also functions as a canvas for creativity, with over 350 original artworks on display throughout the property. Curated by Wadha Al-Aqeedi and Elina Sairanen from Mathqaf Arab Museum of Modern Art, the collection features pieces by more than 100 artists, over half of them from Doha and the majority of them women, weaving culture directly into the guest experience. With its distinctive aesthetic and strong community ties, The Ned Doha is truly a cultural landmark.

As The Ned Doha turns two this November, the anniversary will serve as both a celebration and a milestone. In just 24 months, the property has firmly positioned itself as one of Qatar’s most sought-after destinations for hospitality, art, and gastronomy. The Ned has become a place to belong, a social and cultural hub that brings together artists, entrepreneurs, creatives, and thinkers from around the world.

Two years since its inception, The Ned Doha has evolved into a true part of the city’s identity. The focus of the hotel is now on deepening its ties to the local community while continuing to set the standard for hospitality in the region. The second anniversary is the opportunity for guests to get an exciting preview of what’s to come.

A MICHELIN-Starred Dining Experience at Cecconi’s

To mark this special occasion, The Ned Doha’s beloved Northern Italian restaurant Cecconi’s will play host to an extraordinary culinary activation featuring none other than Chefs Chicco and Bobo Cerea of Da Vittorio. Taking place on November 30th and December 1st, the event will offer guests the rare opportunity to enjoy a six-course menu curated by the chefs of the iconic three-MICHELIN-starred restaurant.

This exclusive dining experience will showcase standout creations such as the Cappuccino di Patate e Funghi con Tartufo Nero, Fonduta di Crespella, and the iconic Paccheri alla Vittorio, with each dish being a celebration of seasonal ingredients, innovative techniques, and time-honoured Italian tradition. Guests will be transported to the heart of Bergamo with every bite, all within the elegant surrounds of Cecconi’s Doha.

This collaboration with the Cerea brothers showcases The Ned’s mission of bringing world-class experiences to its guests, while continuing to position Cecconi’s as a leader in Doha’s ever-evolving culinary scene. It’s a moment that honours the past two years while looking ahead to an even more exciting future.
