As an agency, we’ve already aimed to be wide awake when it comes to the latest trends, so we thought, what better way to celebrate our anniversary than with a brew-tiful amalgamation of creativity and coffee

Over the past 15 years, Katch International has been telling stories that grab attention and creating campaigns that refuse to go unnoticed. We’ve woken you up with breaking news, peppered your inbox with press releases, and brewed up bold ideas for hundreds of clients across the globe. Now, to celebrate our 15th anniversary, we thought it was only fitting to serve up something that truly reflects how we start our day, with a good cup of coffee and a big idea.

From October 17th to 19th, we’re going to be hosting a limited-time-only pop-up coffee experience at To The Moon & Back Café in Dubai. At this upcoming Katch Kafé, there’ll be entertainment, plenty of laughs, an eye-catching photo booth supplied by Boothclub, and, of course, signature Katch-branded coffee and tasty creations to keep you fuelled. It’s our way of celebrating everyone who’s helped us stay at the top of our game (and alert) for a decade and a half.

15 Years of Global Headlines at Katch

It all started as a tiny, two-person operation in London back in 2010. Named after our founder Georgina Woollams’ sister, Catherine, Katch was built on family values, and those same values still shape us today. In 2011, we opened our first international office in Dubai, a city that’s become the beating heart of our operations, and we’ve never looked back since.

Fast forward to today, and we can proudly say we’ve delivered headline-grabbing moments that have helped shape regional PR. We played our part in history time and time again, launching Cavalli Café with A-listers in Beirut, creating Saudi Arabia’s first neon dance spectacle in the form of iluminate, and producing the most viral concert campaign in UAE history with Coldplay earlier this year. Along the way, we’ve supported global clients like Four Seasons, Live Nation Middle East, Centara, Marriott Bonvoy, Rixos Hotels, and the MICHELIN Guide, launched world-firsts like NFT-powered events, and grown from a boutique agency to a 50-plus strong team with offices in Dubai, Riyadh, and London.

A Look Back at the Last 12 Months

The past year has been one of our biggest yet. We kicked off 2024 by opening our Riyadh office, then went on to launch one of the most talked-about musical extravaganzas in the UAE, UNTOLD Dubai, which we helped turn into a PR powerhouse generating AED 32 million in value. We partnered with Keane MEA to produce a White Paper on AI in hospitality, supported the MICHELIN Food Festival and Ceremony in Abu Dhabi, and brought the buzz to the Abu Dhabi leg of Coldplay’s world tour, securing coverage seen by nearly 1 billion people.

We’ve expanded our team, revamped our Dubai office, opened a physical office in Riyadh, grown our client roster, and introduced one of the UAE’s most supportive maternity policies. What a ride it has been, covering yoga in infinity pools, underwater music videos, and sustainable luxury real estate campaigns, we’ve done it all, and we’re only just getting started.

Why a Coffee Pop-Up?

At Katch, we’ve always had a soft spot for coffee. Let’s face it, it’s the secret fuel behind every last-minute pitch, morning brainstorm, and midnight press release. So, to mark this milestone, we thought, what better way to celebrate than with a brew in hand?

Our media friends know us as the team that always brings the energy, but this time, we’re bringing the espresso too. Good vibes, good company, and great coffee, all served up by the team that’s been buzzing around the region for the past 15 years. It’s our cheeky way of saying, “We know we’ve kept you on your toes, now let us treat you to a proper pick-me-up.”

At the pop-up, guests can get their hands on limited-edition creations such as pistachio and white chocolate cinnamon buns, matcha croissants, strawberry and cream pies, strawberry matcha, and creamy gelato by Miva Flavour House. The venue will also be decked out in unique pink aesthetics, allowing you to experience a true taste of Katch magic.

To The Moon & Back Joins the Celebration

We couldn’t have picked a better partner than To The Moon & Back (TTMB) for this celebration. Founded in 2018 by Emirati Zainab Al Mousawi, TTMB has become one of Dubai’s most beloved speciality coffee spots, blending Melbourne-inspired brewing expertise with a flair for creativity and culture. Boasting cosmic interiors, striking murals, and an out-of-this-world approach to coffee, the brand has built a reputation for transforming an ordinary caffeine fix into a full sensory experience.

Every cup tells a story, allowing artistry, flavour, and community to converge; all values that align perfectly with our own. Just as Katch has spent the past decade and a half pushing boundaries in PR, TTMB has been doing the same in the coffee world, elevating daily rituals into memorable moments. Together, we’re creating a celebration that is energising and meaningful, combining the best of bold storytelling and bold flavours.

The pop-up will also see Katch collaborate with several other homegrown brands, including GN Trading, a local manufacturer and leading importer and exporter of food products for 25 years, and Emirati Coffee Co, a Dubai-based speciality coffee roastery sourcing beans from around the world and producing a range of products. Each partner has played a key role in bringing the project to life, becoming a true showcase of the UAE’s entrepreneurial spirit and homegrown talent.

A Different Type of Rave … Fuelled by Coffee

On Saturday, October 18th, the celebrations will hit a whole new level with Katch’s very own Coffee Rave, in collaboration with music collective No Filter. Running from 2pm to 6pm, the event will see To The Moon & Back transformed into a high-energy hub where caffeine and creativity collide, complete with electrifying DJ sets, exclusive Katch-inspired creations, and a vibrant, party-fuelled atmosphere. Expect beats, brews, and unforgettable memories in true Katch style.

This pop-up is all about community. We’re using this moment to thank the people who’ve made this journey possible: the media who’ve covered our stories, the clients who’ve trusted us with theirs, and the people who’ve built Katch from the ground up. We’re truly proud of the culture we’ve created and the people who live it every day, and we want to share this with the world.

We’ve always believed that when people feel valued, supported, and inspired, great things happen. That belief is what’s carried us through the past 15 years and what will continue to drive us forward.
