Dubai Comedy Festival 2025

Get ready for a non-stop laugh riot with acts like Tom Segura, Zakir Khan, Joanne McNally, and first-time Dubai performer Morgan Jay lighting up venues across the city, including the Coca-Cola Arena and Dubai Opera from October 2nd to 12th

Laughter is once again set to become the order of business in Dubai, and this time, it’s going to be louder, longer, and more legendary than ever. The Dubai Comedy Festival is making its long-awaited return for its fifth edition from October 2nd to 12th, and it’s already shaping up to be the biggest edition yet. With an eclectic mix of global megastars and regional icons poised to descend on the city, Dubai is gearing up to become the unofficial comedy capital of the world for 11 days straight. Taking over the grand stage of the Coca-Cola Arena and the elegant setting of the Dubai Opera, the only thing you’ll need to bring is your sense of humour (and maybe a tissue or two for those laugh-until-you-cry moments).

A Glittered History of Hilarity

Since its launch, the Dubai Comedy Festival has been delivering punchlines with precision, drawing in comedy fans from across the region and around the globe. What started as a bold initiative to bring the world’s best comics to the Middle East has grown into a cultural mainstay, uniting people through that one, glorious, universal language: laughter. Previous years have seen comedy icons like Russell Peters, Vir Das, and Maz Jobrani grace Dubai’s stages, turning ordinary nights into unforgettable experiences packed with side-splitting sets.

Dubai Comedy Festival Stage

Over the years, festivalgoers have come to expect more than just world-class stand-up, immersing themselves in the atmosphere, the community, and the thrill of seeing some of their favourite acts up close. With performances in English, Arabic, Hindi, and more, it’s always been a celebration of Dubai’s diversity and an open invitation to laugh, no matter where you’re from.

This Year’s Showcase of Immense Comedic Talent

Moving to this year, the 2025 edition is turning up the heat with a lineup that’s borderline unfair in its talent. Tom Segura, the sharp-witted Netflix sensation, is returning to the Coca-Cola Arena on October 2nd to kick things off with a bang. Zakir Khan, the beloved sakht launda himself, will be closing out the festival on October 12th with a Hindi-language set that promises to leave no rib un-tickled. Joining them throughout the festival’s run are the likes of Omid Djalili, Joanne McNally, Akaash Singh, and John Achkar, each with their own distinctive brand of brilliance.

Morgan Jay

The show-stealer this year might just be Morgan Jay. Making his Dubai debut on October 6th, this Brazilian-Italian-American comic-musician hybrid is equal parts charming and hilarious. Known for mixing acoustic melodies with awkwardly relatable jokes, Morgan’s performance at the Dubai Opera is expected to be one of the most talked-about shows of the festival. He’s the kind of act that turns casual fans into lifelong groupies, all while keeping things very, very funny.

Also not to be missed is Joanne McNally, who returns after a sell-out hit in 2023. This time, she’s flying solo and taking no prisoners. Her brutally honest humour and razor-sharp takes on modern life are sure to strike a chord, and maybe even a nerve (in the best way). Meanwhile, Lebanese favourite John Achkar is also back with new material and the same knack for hilarious cultural commentary that made him a fan favourite last time around.

Joanne McNally

This year’s edition is more than just a collection of comedy gigs, it’s a celebration of humour in every form. Expect observational gags, epic musical productions, political satire, and wonderfully absurd anecdotes as the Dubai Comedy Festival 2025 has got you covered. With intimate shows, arena blowouts, and everything in between, it’s a festival built for everyone who loves a good laugh.

So, grab your friends, prepare for belly laughs from start to finish, and get ready to chuckle until your face hurts. With limited seats and ticket demand higher than Morgan Jay’s falsetto, now’s the time to lock in your plans.
