The much-awaited MOTN festival is now open! Team Katch couldn’t be prouder of delivering our next-level integrated communications and PR services to support the fifth edition of Abu Dhabi’s MOTN Festival.

Where entertainment meets culture

Located on the sunny shores of the iconic Abu Dhabi Corniche, MOTN is where entertainment meets culture. Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the region’s ultimate entertainment event, honors commemorate and celebrate the principles of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, which she founded in 2016.

The MOTN festival includes various entertainment, arts, culture, and many more things, allowing guests of all ages to have a memorable day. It offers festival-goers the perfect excuse to soak in the sun, enjoy some of the most unique activations, great works of art, shop till they drop, and an opportunity to explore trendy restaurants along with beautiful beachside views.

The festival includes six different themed zones, each lighting up with awe-inspiring sub-themes, making it a one-of-a-kind entertainment destination for people of all ages – Inspire Space, Thrill Zone, Food Hub, Music Arena, Shopping District, and Amusement Park, showcasing:

  • Global and local culture and hospitality

  • Leading retail outlets

  • Creative works of various international and regional artists

  • Unique activations inspired by some of the best theme parks globally

  • Games, carnival rides, and much more.

Piece of Art

The entire event, at a glance, looks like a beautiful piece of art. It exuberates the brilliance of the entire team, local and international, who have put their hearts and souls into this creation. Whether it is visiting the dessert museum and getting lost among the doughnuts, or satiating your curious minds while painting the town in the MOTN funhouse, it has something for everyone.

Housing the star piece, “Nurture” by Daniel Popper, a larger-than-life art installation created by the world-renowned Burning Man and Tulum Festival artist Daniel Popper can be found in the Food Hub. The gigantic sculpture has laser-cut steel plants growing over the exterior that is symbolic of the Ghaf tree, the national tree of the UAE, and an icon of hope, and many more.

Music to one’s ears

The MOTN proved to be a treat for the music aficionados. Starstruck visitors echoed lyrics to Mohamed Al Salim opening the musical stage, then the No.1 selling Kuwaiti boy band Miami Band and concluding the opening weekend’s artist performances with the Egyptian superstar, singer, and actress Sherine. The MOTN Music Arena was pulsating with the energy of the festival-goers.

The festivities at MOTN 2021 have been elevated to another level with the announcement of two sensational artists joining the celebrations in the capital for a dynamic closing weekend lineup. One of the UK’s most-loved megastars, Craig David, brings to MOTN his incredibly successful show “TS5”, named the must-see live event of the year. The closing concert is not to be missed either, with Khalid Fouad, Mahmoud Al Turky, and Issam Alnajjar set to light up the stage at MOTN.

Bringing Taste Buds back to life

By popular demand, the UK’s favorite ice cream roll brand Pan-n-Ice has returned to Abu Dhabi once again with none other than MOTN! Pan-n-Ice is offering customers the choice of 50 different flavors to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the UAE. That is not where it all stops; to light up your taste buds, MOTN also offers the world’s first glow-in-the-dark Sushi Bar by Bompas & Parr in Collaboration with Akiba Dori. It showcases Japanese cuisine reimagined with a focus on innovation and visual appeal.

Surprise surprise, knitted out with fresh florals, London’s most Instagrammable café and lifestyle brand has also arrived, serving a sweet treat-filled menu, including crowd favorites and EL&N classic drinks, from the Spanish Latte to the color-changing Ombre Passionfruit Cooler.
